OneResult on Channel Five’s Gadget Show

Web and mobile agency OneResult has teamed up with Channel Five’s Gadget Show to share the secrets of app development with tech-lovers across the UK. This week’s show saw One Result’s iOS development team and presenter Suzi Perry give Jules Verne’s classic novel ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ a high-tech makeover, transforming it into an interactive iPad app. The app was then pitched against fellow producer Ortis Deley’s Flash web comic version of Bram Stoker’s gothic thriller Dracula, before taking first place in the latest of the Gadget Show’s famous tech challenges. Acclaimed author Ian Banks judged the challenge, selecting One Result’s app as the winner.

The globe-trotting masterpiece was brought to life by the app, which includes the author’s original full text alongside 21st century graphics and design. The app also features an interactive chapter, which uses geo tagging, interactive puzzles and links into Facebook to give users the chance to share their storytelling experience.

Available as a free download from the iTunes Store, the app has already received impressive customer reviews.
