One Result helps UK’s most established dating agency hit the top of Google.

The Brief

Dateline Platinum is a professional introduction agency with a unique offering, combining the security of traditional dating agencies with the convenience of internet dating . They approached One Result to improve search engine rankings across all the major search engines, in order to increase traffic to the site and the number of members using the service.

The Project

One Result quickly identified the core keywords that would provide Dateline with the right traffic, both in terms of volume and user intent. We then ensured that the site was fully optimised for the target keywords, and that key ranking factors such as title tags, headings, meta content, anchor text and keyword density were all perfectly aligned to achieve Dateline’s goals.

Once the on page optimisation was in place we were able to review Dateline’s competitor’s link profiles. This allowed us to develop an ongoing link acquisition strategy combining directories, articles, PR and social media pages to develop a natural link profile which leapfrogged Dateline’s site above their key competitors.

We also launched a highly successful dating blog which was regularly contributed to by Dateline’s dating experts and selected partners to become an authority site about dating, providing in depth and regularly updated content.

The Result

In just over six months One Result had achieved top 10 rankings on Google for 90% of Dateline’s keywords, which led to a 3500% increase in organic traffic. Continued work on the content and link strategy has now enabled Dateline to leapfrog their competitors for some of the most competitive keywords in the sector, including Introduction Agency and Professional Dating.

One Result has transformed our search rankings. Organic traffic used to account for 2-3% of our leads – it is now responsible for over 40%.
